Mars Approaching Opposition

 taken on the 9th August, 2003.

Mars approaching it's much anticipated opposition in 2003, both by astronomers and the media. Image taken using a Nikon CP4300 digital camera attached to the 8" Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope. the SCT was mounted on an LXD55 mount.
